A solution to hold a participant’s head in place when conducting eye tracking experiments with Tobii Pro Spectrum and Pro Fusion screen-based eye trackers.

Tobii eye trackers are designed to capture high-quality eye tracking data while allowing for natural head movements.

However, some experiments may benefit from gently stabilizing the participant’s head position by using a chin rest to help reduce artifacts in the gaze signal which can be caused by head movements. An example of such research is micro-saccade studies.

A chin rest is useful when you want to present the stimuli at exact positions on the retina of the participant.

Mounting solution for eye trackers

Solution for mounting the Tobii Pro Fusion or Tobii Pro Spark eye trackers on a tripod.

The package contains brackets to mount the Tobii eye trackers directly on a tripod. This is ideal for studies where the subject is sitting at a table in front of a larger monitor. It is also useful in scene camera setups to study physical objects and social interactions between people.The package contains the following parts:

Synchronization device

StimTracker by Cedrus® enables you to reliably and accurately time stamp visual, auditory and participant response events with eye tracking data from Tobii Pro Spectrum eye tracking system down to a single millisecond.

The versatile StimTracker can connect to several leading EEG and biometric data collection systems, as well as a PC parallel port.

StimTracker Duo can accurately mark the onset of on-screen visual stimuli using a light sensor (up to 2 light sensors), the onset of auditory stimuli, and RB-x40 response pad key presses.

StimTracker Quad can, in addition to this, mark the onset of vocal responses from a participant and connect to two further light sensors and to two more EEG or biometric devices.
